Principal Engineer – Flight Control Computer Products - USA work from Home.
Our Aerospace Client in the USA is looking to appoint a Principle Engineer to further support their Operations in Phoenix. This is a Permanent Hire position living and working in the USA , can be worked from Home.
Role Summary:
The Principal Engineer role will be directly involved in the definition, architecting and development of flight control computer products and contribute directly to our current and future Client's products and systems. The successful candidate is expected to have strong technical background and practical expertise in both flight control computer products and flight control systems development, and is also expected to use their experience and problem solving skills to develop innovative system and products for AAM aircraft.
The role will work actively with both customers and partners to identify new product proposals and define cost effective product solutions to meet customer needs. Additionally, the role will guide others in achieving technical excellence by demonstrating technical leadership on projects and through capability building activities.
Primary Responsibilities
• Lead development of technical solutions of flight control computer product, etc.
• Work with product managers and cross teams to define product and technology roadmap, strategy and proposals.
• Define and implement products to meet technical requirements, scheduling, and project objectives.
• Assure proper technical data and substantiation generated from the assigned projects and tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
• Ability to independently achieve results in a cross-functional environment.
• Ability to engage and build positive relationships with both internal and external customers and suppliers.
Qualifications Required:
• Master's degree or above cover control science & engineering and automation.
• Minimum of 8 years’ engineering experience of developing flight control computer product or system design/development.
• Familiar with airworthiness regulations and industry standards of flight control system.
• Experience with safety critical design of flight control system or products.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability of guiding and influencing others Desired Characteristics.
• Extensive background in aerospace electronics/avionics engineering and familiar with industry standards: ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178B/C, DO-254, and DO-160G.
• Work experience of related aircraft systems such as IMA, FMS, CNS, ADIRS, etc. and knowledge of flight operations
