Quality and Technical Support Engineer, Dorset, UK.
Our Client is a busy, and rapidly growing, sourcing company, operating in the mechanical engineering / manufacturing market sector. They specialise in sourcing and supplying bespoke mechanical components and sub assemblies, manufactured to drawing, to our customers in the UK and the US.
They have recently opened an office in Vietnam and are growing their sourcing capability further into Southeast Asia.
As a result of this growth, They are looking to recruit a conscientious, hardworking individual to join our small, friendly team.
Reporting to the Engineering and Quality Manager, you will work closely with both their UK team and the China and Vietnam offices. The role is varied and interesting with the opportunity for international travel for the right candidate.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Creating, verifying and distributing QA documentation collating technical delivery documentation, managing the filing structure in MS explorer and issuing the documentation to customers.
- Verifying and investigating customer quality and technical issues
- Liaising with customers on engineering, quality and technical matters
- Providing engineering and quality support to our China and Vietnam offices both remotely and in person once suitable experience has been gained.
- Providing engineering and quality input to the sales function.
Skills / Experience:- Experience in an engineering component / product manufacturing environment.
- The ability to understand technical drawings, standards, specifications and engineering terminology.
- Familiarity with international quality standards such as ISO 9001, TS16149 etc.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process including machining, casting, fabrication, injection mould etc.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly excel, word and explorer.
- Good attention detail and organisational skills.
Located in Poole, Dorset. Candidates should be willing to work in our clients offices with a team of around 6 persons. Some international travel will be necessary. Ideally you will be available for a fulltime role, but part time may also be considered.
