FAQ's

Client FAQ’s

  • How do I know that Strongfield’s Candidates will offer the Skills we need?

We will listen to your plans and needs - and we’ll work with you, to develop a Job Spec that precisely matches the Profile you're looking for from your new Colleague(s).  With 30 years specialist Recruitment experience behind us, our global network of potential Candidates extends worldwide and includes more than a million qualified Personnel.  Whichever Sector or Seniority you're planning to Recruit or Contract within, we know the people you want to reach – and we understand why they’re the right fit, because we understand what their role will be, the culture of your Operation and because we ask what attitude and approach your new Colleagues should bring to the Team.

  • How Will Strongfield Work For Me?

Whenever you include us in your hiring deliberations, you can be certain that we’ll secure the qualified and experienced Colleague(s) you plan to bring into your Team.  After making sure we understand fully your Company, its style and needs - and who you'd prefer to employ, we’ll draw the details of your own Job Spec/Overview and everything we discuss together with our own knowledge and understanding, to present you with a draft Strongfield Job Spec for approval.  To secure the right person, we'll adopt a ripple across the pond approach.  Our global network reaches over a million employees.  We'll first identify then contact individual Candidates with the correct outline skills for the position, inviting them to apply.  We'll also draw from our in-house database and social media connections to invite Applications and/or Referrals.  Finally, if needed, we'll use proven jobsites to reach new names.  Be assured, we will shortlist most carefully and you will only receive the files of Candidates who match your needs in all ways.

Please link to our Programme Workflows if you’d like to understand the step by step details of our Service.

  • Does Strongfield Provide High Quality, Professional Services?

Yes.  Every day, we’ll be working to receive a high quality of response at the end of your Hiring Programme, so please tell us what you need at each step.  We’re here to secure your new Colleague(s) and we’ll adjust everything we can to achieve that.  Across your Hiring Programme, we’ll keep you fully updated and informed – and we’ll send a selection of Candidate files for you to review and choose from.

You make the final hiring decisions, so you’re in control at every step.

  • Can we receive a copy of your Terms and Conditions?

Absolutely. Just ask and we’ll be happy to send a copy to your Company email address.  We’ll first ask you to explain a little about your personnel development plans, so we can send you the appropriate Terms and Conditions.

  • How much do you charge?

Please contact us if you’d like a quote and we’ll be pleased to provide all the details you need.  We work openly and honestly throughout, so there are never any hidden costs or charges at any time.

Candidate FAQ’s

  • How much does Strongfield charge candidates to help find them a new job?

Absolutely nothing.  We charge the Hiring Company for our Services. Absolutely nothing.  We charge the Hiring Company for our Services.

  • What does CV actually mean?

CV is an abbreviation of the Latin phrase Curriculum Vitae which, roughly translated, means Story of Life.  You may be familiar with CV, Curriculum, Resume or Bio-Data; they all mean the same thing and each is your opportunity to convey your skills, experience, attitude, approach and the value you can bring to your potential new Employer.

  • How do I send a copy of my CV/Resume to you?

Please send your CV to Candidates@Strongfield.com or use the Submit Your CV link.  Every CV is logged into the Strongfield database and you’ll receive an emailed acknowledgement from us within a few days.  Please don’t send any supporting documents or references until we ask for them, which we will do if any application you’ve made is well received by our Client(s).

  • If I apply for a job, will I receive a reply and updates about my application?

Yes.  We will carefully match the skills, background and knowledge that our Clients ask for with your own experience.  If we don’t feel that your offer the Profile our Client prefers to hire, we’ll send an email to let you know.  If we shortlist you, you’ll also hear from us – letting you know how we’ll all move forward together.

  • How long will I wait, to find out if I’m going to be invited for an Interview?

That always depends on the availability of our Client.  We send first files to them within a few days but if our Client is away on business or if their programme is delayed for any other reason (extreme weather, holidays, religious observance, etc) the Programme can take some time.

  • How Many Times Can I Apply for the same Job?

You can apply as often as you like, but we read every single CV/Resume that we receive (which also means we can suggest any alternative or additional Vacancies that might be of interest to you) so you only need to apply once - even if you see the same Vacancy posted in more than one location.  If you do apply more than once, we simply delete the second and subsequent applications from you (unless we agree to proceed together with more than one Job Vacancy).

  • Can I apply for a Job through Strongfield plus any other Recruitment Company - and even directly to the Hiring Company - at the same time?

You can apply through any route(s) that you choose but if you are qualified as required, your CV/Resume will land on the desk of the Hiring Manager at the Company.  It is an unwritten, global rule that whichever source your CV first came from is the only one that counts.  If, for example, you first applied through Strongfield and then for a second time with another Recruitment Company, that second application will have no value if Strongfield has already presented your Resume to the Hiring Manager - they will only progress your Application with Strongfield.  The same is true if you also apply directly to the Hiring Company either before or after using an Agency.  We recommend that you decide which Recruitment Agency best serves your needs per Vacancy then concentrate your efforts on applying only through that route.

  • What’s a QSF?

We’ve designed a one-page Qualifications Summary Form (QSF) which we send to Pilots and other Technical Candidates.  It’s a very simple form that takes less than 5 minutes to complete and it asks you to break down your recent experience – plus any special questions that we may need to ask on our Clients’ behalf.

  • How Do We Manage Candidate Applications?

Each Job Spec is published with a unique Strongfield Job ID

    •  We invite qualified Candidates whose details are registered in the Strongfield CV Database to apply
    • Contacts across the Strongfield Global Network are invited to apply and/or make personal recommendations (we’ll pay a Finder’s Fee if a friend you recommend is hired for a named Job)
    •  If you're not already part of our Network you’ll usually find our Jobs on proven Jobsites and the Vacancies page of the Strongfield website - but do give serious thought to registering with us because we often manage confidential Vacancies; you can send your CV to Candidates@Strongfield.com at any time

    Candidate Shortlists

    • Qualified Candidates are asked to provide their up to date CV and, optionally, a photo. If the role requires a 2 stage application process, eg Pilots, Cabin Crew, Engineers and other Technical Personnel, we’ll ask each Candidate to complete our Qualifications Summary Form (QSF); a brief overview of their experience on type.
    •  All files are reviewed and those who meet or exceed our Clients’ stated minimums are included in our first Long-list
    •  A Short-list of Candidates who most ideally match the Client’s preferred Candidate Profile is then finalised: Skills, Career Background, Attitude and Approach are all taken into consideration (Don’t Forget! We only know what your CV and Cover Letter tell us about you at that stage!)
    •    Candidates who are being submitted for consideration by our Clients are advised that this is happening and we let them know the outcome of their Application (good or bad) as soon as the Hiring Manager advises us of their Feedback
    •    We’ll then ask for copies of your Supporting Documents if the Hiring Manager would like to learn more about your qualifications
    •  At every stage, Candidates who do not meet the required criteria, receive a standard email advising them that they have been unsuccessful

    Interviews & Offers

    •  If our Client would like to conduct an initial Telephone, Skype and/or Face-to-Cafe Interview with you, we’ll liaise and manage everything needed to support you, including appropriate Interview preparation and travel arrangements, as necessary
    •   Each Candidate is encouraged to call us after their Interview, to provide their own Feedback
    • Client Feedback is also obtained and future actions taken accordingly; if all goes well that usually includes Offer Negotiations, Contract Issue and Signature, Visa Applications then Travel and Reporting Arrangements.  We’ll support you right through to the day you first report for work and as you settle in.
    • Unsuccessful Interviewees are advised, with any pertinent comments passed on to them
