Location: Greater London, UK
Position: Permanent Hire
We are looking for an experienced Aerospace or Defence sector Technical Author to join a leading Aerospace Company in the Greater London area. You would be crucial in creating technical publications, acceptance test procedures, and build plans for our world-leading, safety critical products.
What You’ll Do:
- Write and research technical publications using engineering drawings, CAD models, and production standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues by liaising with relevant departments.
- Define and specify illustration requirements to meet industry standards.
- Facilitate, demonstrate, and validate using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Proofread documents to meet quality standards and task deadlines.
What We’re Looking For:- Strong listening and communication skills.
- Experience with desktop publishing software (e.g., FrameMaker).
- Proficiency in SGML, XML, and DITA.
- Aerospace engineering experience, preferably in a military context.
- Commitment to high standards and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Simplified English.
- Practical experience in mechanical engineering and technical authorship.
Qualifications:- City & Guilds 5360 Part 1 & 2 (Engineering, Technical Communication and Authoring) or equivalent.
