COMAC C919 Aircraft prototype 104 successfully completed its first test flight taking off from Pudong airport.
Flying for over an hour, COMAC say that initial tests included avionics, take-off / landing and de-icing.
The first three prototypes have been performing experiments in northwest Shaanxi, eastern Shandong and Jiangxi provinces undergoing Static / fatigue tests on the ground.
Aircrafts 105 / 106 are expected to take-off later this year.
The challenging target to achieve local certification and entry to service by 2021 still remains.
COMAC has 850 orders from 30 foreign and domestic airlines.
