Design Engineer - Airframe Structures

  • Lead, senior & junior roles.
  • Engineering degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering
  • Must have proven CATIA V5 experience
  • Knowledge of ENOVIA & Fibersim an asset
  • Primary & secondary metallic airframe structural design experience.
  • Experience in Composite material design for primary structure would be an asset.
  • Typical components would include: Skins / Stringers, Frames, Floor structure, Pressure Bulkheads / Pressure Floors, Door surround structure, Wing to Body fairings.
  • Ability to produce conceptual designs / modifications of major structural work packages and to manage / follow the work package into detail phase.
  • Have a clear understanding of the different phases of aircraft development.
  • Familiar with aircraft materials, process specifications related to structural design.
  • Basic understanding of stress and load paths related to structural design.
  • Familiar with detail design of sheet metal / machined components, again composite experience would be an asset.
  • Familiar with Assembly, Installation data sets, release & change documentation procedures & Interface control between major structural work packages.

Avionics Engineer / Integrator

  • Requirement capture, technical definition, requirement management, integration, testing and certifying of the avionics systems.
  • Avionics disciplines : architectures & systems design, modern flight deck philosophy, future avionics regulatory requirements, modular avionics, auto pilot integration with auto throttle/auto land/fbw (if applicable), new navigation concepts (i.e. RNP, MMR, GPS WAAS/LAAS) IRS, Smart Probes, next generation communication systems, Integrated utility systems and central maintenance system

  • Liaise with Certification Authorities, to plan and test and obtain certification.
  • Bachelor's (preferably a Master) degree in engineering (avionics, electrical or aerospace) and a minimum of (10) years experience as an avionics integrator
  • Familiar with part 25 / 525 certification process.
  • Knowledge of part121 and JAR OPS is an asset
  • Knowledge of Reliability & Maintainability, avionics equipment qualification & flight test environment.

Senior Systems Engineer (Hydro, Mech, Landing Gear)

  • Conducts technical investigations, analyzes and develops simple solutions/recommendations and reports
  • Review and approve design documents such as vendor drawings, test procedures, qualification reports and certification documents

  • Prepare technical reports to show compliance to the applicable certification requirements

  • Responsible for performing all tasks associated to the electrical systems engineering discipline for the systems related to the SW and HW aspects in accordance with the program schedule
