Stress Engineers

• Structural stress engineer: Conceptual, detail, aluminium sizing, composite.
• Hand calculations

• Understand fail-safe, slow crack growth requirement

• Knowledge of DTA and fatigue (NASGRO an asset)

Systems Stress Engineers

• Systems stress & fatigue
• Mechanical Systems stress: Hydraulics, Landing Gear, Flap/Slat, Brake and rolling stock
• System Internal and Interface Loads Reporting
• System Static Strength Verification Report
• System Fatigue Verification Report
• Structural integrity requirements definition for various system components.
• Methodology development.
• Interfacing with suppliers ensure program and technical requirements and methodologies are being complied with.
• Loads calculation, analysis & preparation of certification reports.
• Previous work on an aircraft development program including certification is an asset

Design Engineer - Airframe Structures

• Lead, senior & junior roles.
• Engineering degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering
• Must have proven CATIA V5 experience
• Knowledge of ENOVIA & Fibersim an asset
• Primary & secondary metallic airframe structural design experience.
• Experience in Composite material design for primary structure would be an asset.
• Typical components would include: Skins / Stringers, Frames, Floor structure, Pressure Bulkheads / Pressure Floors, Door surround structure, Wing to Body fairings.
• Ability to produce conceptual designs / modifications of major structural work packages and to manage / follow the work package into detail phase.
• Have a clear understanding of the different phases of aircraft development.
• Familiar with aircraft materials, process specifications related to structural design.
• Basic understanding of stress and load paths related to structural design.
• Familiar with detail design of sheet metal / machined components, again composite experience would be an asset.
• Familiar with Assembly, Installation data sets, release & change documentation procedures & Interface control between major structural work packages.
• Have good integration / people skills, ability to work in a team and as a team player.
• Experience of working within and driving a cross-functional team environment.

Systems Installation Structure Design – Aerospace

• Engineering degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering
• Systems installation design (structures/brackets, routing, mechanical and electrical)
• Hydraulic, water/waste, FIREX, Fuel inerting, CDC5 rack & enclosure
• Must have proven CATIA V5 experience

Avionics Engineer / Integrator

• Requirement capture, technical definition, requirement management, integration, testing and certifying of the avionics systems.
• Avionics disciplines : architectures & systems design, modern flight deck philosophy, future avionics regulatory requirements, modular avionics, auto pilot integration with auto throttle/auto land/fbw (if applicable), new navigation concepts (i.e. RNP, MMR, GPS WAAS/LAAS) IRS, Smart Probes, next generation communication systems, Integrated utility systems and central maintenance system
• Approve supplier proposals & approving test procedures
• Liaise with Certification Authorities, to plan and test and obtain certification.
• Bachelor's (preferably a Master) degree in engineering (avionics, electrical or aerospace) and a minimum of (10) years experience as an avionics integrator
• Familiar with part 25 / 525 certification process.
• Knowledge of part121 and JAR OPS is an asset
• Knowledge of Reliability & Maintainability, avionics equipment qualification & flight test environment.

Senior Systems Engineer (Hydro, Mech, Landing Gear)

• Conducts technical investigations, analyzes and develops simple solutions/recommendations and reports
• Review and approve design documents such as vendor drawings, test procedures, qualification reports and certification documents
• Prepare / define system specifications and requirements
• Prepare technical reports to show compliance to the applicable certification requirements
• Assists with technical proposal activities, including preparation of written material and presentations
• Interface with external customers/suppliers on technical aspects
• Coordinate investigation and corrective action of specific in-service problems involving various systems and components
• Provide technical support to ensure proper control & supervision of moderately complex projects.
• Provide support to production, pre-flight and flight test
• Provide support to In-Service Engineering and Product Safety
• Communicate technical design objectives to Transport Canada with respect to certification requirements
• Good working knowledge of Aircraft Systems, specifically landing gear and hydraulic systems
• Good working knowledge of Part 25 certification requirements

Senior Propulsion / Fuel Systems Engineer

• This position will require you to co-ordinate all technical aspects of assigned design projects, provide technical support to the production line and to assist Customer Support with resolution of in-service problems and customer requests.
• You will need to work closely with various internal departments, vendors and operators.
• Acting as project owner on assigned propulsion and fuel system related projects
• Preparing special reports and presentations
• Providing technical solutions to the field and production lines
• Coordinating investigation and corrective action of specific in-service problems involving various systems and components
• Preparation and definition of system specifications and requirements
• Certification documents to show compliance to the applicable certification regulations (FAR/JAR).
• Review and approve design documents such as vendor drawings, test procedures, qualification reports and certification documents.
• Provide analytical, design, test development and certification support relating to all aspects of your respective systems

Electrical Systems Engineer (Hydro, Mechanical)

• Responsible for performing all tasks associated to the electrical systems engineering discipline for the systems related to the SW and HW aspects in accordance with the program schedule
• Validate requirements, architectures, development, and design.
• Ensure requirement validation and negotiate verification means and methods
• Supervise development, implementation, qualification, integration and certification testing
• Collaborate with system suppliers and interfacing work packages and coordinate technical orientations and define / manage / control the interfaces
• Propose solutions to technical problems affecting the systems such as: functionality, performance, risk, cost, weight, safety, reliability....
• Review supplier's technical documents and define activities leading to design compliance and system certification
• Preparation of certification material
• Identify risk and manage their mitigations
• Provide analytical, design, test development and certification support relating to all aspects of your respective systems#
• Familiar with the DO-160 / 178 / 254 and AIRINC 429 standards and FAR/CS 25 certification requirements
• Practical experience with V&V per ARP4754 is an asset

Reliability & Safety Engineers

• Support design activities to assure all reliability requirements are implements in the aircraft system design, development & testing phases.
• Prepare reliability progress reports
• Coordinate & support reliability testing
• Provide reliability expertise/guidance (tools, calcs, methods etc)
• Statistical analysis & root cause failure
• Familiar with certification requirements and guidance material, suchs as FARs, AC25.1309, ARP 4754 & 4761 etc
